Why we produce in Europe
We are based in the heart of the Alps, and we believe that our performance sportswear should reflect where ALPBOCK comes from.
That’s why our products are designed in Austria and manufactured with specialised partners across Europe.
Producing in Europe allows us to:
- Work closely with our manufacturing partners
- Build long-term relationships with specialised textile producers
- Keep much of our production geographically close
- Visit our partners and understand how our products are made
- Work within established European regulatory standards
For us, European production is not simply a marketing story. It is part of how we develop and make our products.
Our production network
From yarn to finished product
An ALPBOCK product can pass through several specialised European partners before it reaches you.
Yarn & fabrics: spinning, knitting and textile development with specialised European manufacturers
Dyeing & finishing: specialised European partners responsible for colour, finishing and textile performance
Sewing & confection: experienced garment manufacturers producing our sportswear and accessories
Accessories & packaging: labels, hangtags and packaging sourced from European suppliers wherever possible
We deliberately work with specialised manufacturers and build direct relationships with the people making our products.
This allows us to understand our supply chain better and work closely with our partners on the things that matter to us: material quality, functionality, durability and consistent production.

European standards and production partnerships
Our European manufacturing partners operate within applicable European and national requirements covering areas such as workplace safety, labour conditions, environmental protection and chemical management.
Beyond these requirements, individual partners may use certified materials, audited processes or technologies for areas such as energy, water, chemical or waste management.
Where we communicate specific certifications or environmental measures, we aim to identify them clearly and connect them to the relevant material, process or manufacturing partner.
For us, responsible production starts with knowing who makes our products, where they are made and how they are produced.

Keeping production closer
Rather than building a supply chain around distant manufacturing, we focus on European textile expertise wherever technically and commercially possible.
Our network includes:
- European spinning, knitting and textile development
- Dyeing and finishing within Europe
- Garment manufacturing in European factories
- European suppliers for many of our accessories and packaging components
Not every raw material originates in Europe. Our Merino wool, for example, may come from regions such as New Zealand when the required fibre quality and specification are best available there.
What matters to us is being transparent about that journey.
Keeping much of the subsequent textile processing and manufacturing within Europe also allows us to maintain closer relationships with our partners, visit production sites and better understand how an ALPBOCK product is made.
