Why we produce in Europe

We are based in the heart of the Alps and we believe that performance sportswear should reflect this origin.
That’s why our products are designed in Austria and manufactured exclusively in Europe.

Producing in Europe allows us to:

Work closely with our partners in Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, Lithuania and beyond

Guarantee fair working conditions under European labour standards

Respect strict environmental regulations (REACH, OEKO-TEX–certified processes, modern wastewater treatment)

Keep transport routes short and reduce our CO₂ footprint

For us, European production is not a marketing story, it’s part of our responsibility.

Our production network

A transparent network, from yarn to finished product

Each ALPBOCK piece goes through several European experts before it lands in your hands:

Yarn & fabrics – spinning and knitting in specialised European mills

Dyeing & finishing – long-established partners using modern, resource-saving technologies

Sewing & confection – experienced garment factories that know how performance sportswear should feel and fit

Accessories & packaging – labels, hangtags and packaging from European suppliers

We deliberately choose smaller, specialised factories where we know the people behind the machines – and they know our standards: durable, functional, and fair.

We don’t see sustainability without fairness.
By producing in Europe, we rely on:

• Social insurance and fair wages

At the same time, our partners invest in:

• Modern machinery with lower energy use

• Efficient dyeing and finishing processes

• Wastewater treatment and careful chemical management

Short supply chains, smaller footprint

Shorter routes, lighter footprint

Every kilometre counts.

Instead of shipping materials and products halfway around the world, we focus on regional and European routes:

• Wool from Europe wherever possible

• Merino processed in Europe

• Manufacturing in neighbouring countries

• Mostly road transport inside Europe instead of long sea or air freight

The result: fewer transport emissions and a supply chain that we can actually visit and understand.
